P.I. Dr. Wayne Isom and Dr. Karl Kreiger Lab Director Dr. Douglas Lazenby Experiments involving an isolated heart preparation were undertaken using a dog heart as a model. Applications for transplant surgery were the focus.
New York University Rusk Institute for Rehabilitation	12/87 - 2/88
Research Assistant. Participated in a follow-up study of Spinal cord injured patients over the past 20 years. Goals of this project included assessing physical health, mental health and follow-up care at Rusk or other rehabilitation Centers, as well as reestablishing communications with patients who had been "lost to the system."
